Croydon Decorators show commitment to local area through football sponsorship

CVC Decorators has displayed its commitment to the South London community by becoming a Crystal Palace Business Club partner. The Croydon-based company has looked to reach out to football supporters through its sponsorship at Selhurst Park, connecting with 25,000 fans throughout every Crystal Palace home game.

Ciprian Chifa began the business in 2013, after having spent a decade within the construction industry. Having worked on projects for premier companies within the industry, Chifa assembled a team of trusted colleagues able to complete a range of jobs from painting and decorating to kitchen extensions.

Having worked extensively across the London and Kent areas, CVC Decorators believes that its association with Crystal Palace helps to strengthen its ties to the local community. With the company being broadcast to thousands of fans throughout the season, Ciprian Chifa hopes that CVC Decorators’ commitment to the club helps to build a positive association with supporters.

“We chose to join the Business Club because I love football and I’ve never really looked at marketing before,” Chifa said.  “That’s the reason we thought that Crystal Palace was the way forward. It’s local to us and I’m proud whenever I see our name at Selhurst Park.

“When starting the business, the biggest challenge was to find the right people to make the right team, and I’m blessed that I was able to find it. That was one of the main reasons I decided to start the business, because of the high-quality people that I’m surrounded by. Being associated with a Premier League club helps us reach new people and shows that we’re a respectable company.”

The Crystal Palace Business Club stems from an agreement between Eleven Sports Media and the Football Club.  As a Business Club partner, CVC Decorators sees its company branding appear on crowd-facing digital LED boards, as well as StadiumTV and StatTV screens within the concourses, engaging with fans throughout each matchday.

The company is also invited to exclusive partner events, which have included Q&A evenings with a range of people from within the sporting world, allowing CVC Decorators to meet and connect with like-minded local businesses.

“We’re enjoying the partnership. We’ve met so many businesses at the partner events and we love it. It makes us feel closer to the community, which is what we’re trying to achieve with our partnership.

“Our branding is being recognised by local people, too. I have a couple of friends that are season ticket holders at Crystal Palace, and they called me to say they’d seen our name at the stadium. We’re all so proud to be associated with the Football Club.”
