Forum Insurance Celebrate Important Partnership with Watford FC

Watford-supporting family business enjoying its connection to local side

Having begun operating in 1990, family-run Forum Insurance have scored important links to Watford Football Club. Based in Kenton, the company pride themselves on offering bespoke policies, with most of the company’s client base stemming from the North West London area.

Offering both personal and commercial insurance, the company views its association with Vicarage Road as an effective way of engaging with thousands of like-minded potential clients. The business was formed by Barry Mamtora, who has been attending Watford games for several decades, a trait which has been passed down through the family. His son, Amish, now company director, spoke of the benefits Forum Insurance has experienced since becoming Watford FC Business Club members, as well as the company’s hopes for the future.

“We’ve been part of the Business Club for nearly 18 months and the plan was to raise awareness. I’ve been going to Vicarage Road since 1995 so I’m a big fan and our client base is all local. To be affiliated with a large football club adds a bit of prestige and shows that you’re doing something different, and maybe something only the big boys used to do!”, he explained. “Now everyone has seen our branding, at least in the corner of their eye, and are kind of familiar with our branding and our colours. What we want to do now is generate some income and draw out some business from there.”

The Watford FC Business Club stems from a partnership between Watford FC and Eleven Sports Media, which enables local businesses to display their branding around the stadium on matchdays, from pitch and crowd-facing digital boards; Stadium TV and StatZone screens within the concourse, with members’ logos also featuring on social media content shared to the club’s official channels.

In addition to the matchday exposure Forum Insurance experiences at all home games, Watford FC Business Club members are invited to exclusive partner events, which included a behind-the-scenes tour of Vicarage Road and a Q&A with club legend Richard Johnson in November 2018. “We already insure a few of the Watford Business Club members, so it is key that we come to the events because I’ll be with some existing clients and using them as a referral for my business”, Amish explained. “I’ve had good feedback from the other Watford Business Club members, they all want to work with each other. Whether anything materializes or not doesn’t matter, the intention is there.”

Watford Business Club membership has enabled Forum Insurance to experience big-brand exposure and meet with like-minded businesses in the local area. Amish Mamtora is delighted that the company is associated with Watford in the club’s current Premier League era: “It’s a top tier club, we made it to the Premier League, finally! At all the games there are at least 20,000 people there and against the bigger sides the stadium is packed, drawing fans from all those other regions. We’re looking forward to establishing ourselves a little bit more and winning some Watford supporting clients. We’ve always supported Watford, let us support you.”
