Panel management company show commitment to North East through sports sponsorship

Pure Panel Management have partnered with the Newcastle United Executive Club, showcasing the company’s commitment to the North East. Becoming Executive Club partners enables the company to experience Premier League brand exposure during every matchday at St. James’ Park, reaching 50,000 supporters and potential international audiences at each home game.

The business liaises between brokers, lenders, and buyers of residential properties; sourcing and processing valuations on behalf of their clients. Pure Panel Management was formed in 2007 by David Gillam, who has owned panel management businesses for almost 20 years.

Being associated with Newcastle United was significant for Gillam, having been a longtime supporter of sport in the city:

“Myself and my sons are season ticket holders at Newcastle United. We also have a facility at the Newcastle Falcons. I came up to the North East from Surrey, I love it up here; I brought my kids up here. They’re very much wedded to the area. We love the North East and love the sport – sometimes!”

As Newcastle United Executive Club partners, Pure Panel Management see their company branding broadcast around St. James’ Park on crowd-facing digital LED screens, plus StadiumTV and StatZone screens located within the concourses.

This approach allows the business to engage with supporters at all stages of the match, helping to create an association between Pure Panel Management and Newcastle United.

In addition to increased brand awareness, all Executive Club partners are invited to exclusive events, which include Q&A evenings with former players. Pure Panel Management also enjoy matchday hospitality at a selection of games each season, with David Gillam identifying its value to the business.

“We tend to do some hospitality around sporting events, so the thought that we would take four people to three different games really appealed. Sport does have a value in business; a lot of the people within our industry enjoy sport”, Gillam said.

“A lot of the people we deal with will say, ‘If you ever get a space at a match, let us know, we’d love to come.’ That’s how we use it. It’s a way of spending time with our clients and win or lose everyone seems to have a good time.

Pure Panel Management employs a team of local people and supports the Newcastle United Foundation, helping to give back to the city’s communities. However, despite the company’s steady growth since forming in 2007, the Newcastle United Executive Club provides a platform for the business to elevate its brand awareness.

“The thought that we’d get our name out there was part of joining the Executive Club. I do find I spend time looking at the side of the pitch to try and see when our name comes on! When Matt Ritchie scored against Arsenal last year, we were flat against the back of the screen on Match of the Day. A few friends locally have said, ‘I’ve seen you’re doing this’. It’s fun to do.

“We’re a small business compared to some others within our industry and we feel in terms of name recognition we punch above our weight; our relationship with Newcastle United is part of our name awareness strategy.”
