Sportswear supplier showcase commitment to Teesside region through football sponsorship

TS3 Sports have demonstrated their commitment to the Teesside region by becoming a Middlesbrough Fc Business Partner. Being associated with Boro is the perfect fit for TS3, who have created a brand centred around supplying local teams with sports kits and equipment. As a Middlesbrough FC Business Partner, the company sees its branding broadcast to more than 20,000 fans throughout every home match at The Riverside.

Gary Redman and Kevin McCabe took over the business in 2017 and have succeeded in becoming a hub for the local community. Supplying local school uniforms and supplying kits to local sports teams, Redman outlined how the business have aimed to set itself apart from their competitors:

“Our service and turnaround time are what sets us apart from other competition. We’ve sometimes picked up business where they’ve had poor service given to them elsewhere. We pride ourselves on not just being a place where you buy clothes, but we’re also a friend to our customers. We have people pop in to talk to us as they walk past because of the positive service we provide.

“Being involved with the community is important to us and being involved with the football community that is so important to the local area helps us showcase that. We supply Hummel, which is what the Boro wear, as well as a few other brands linked to other Football Clubs. We’ve sold quite a lot of our Hummel sportswear because of the Boro wearing it, fans enjoy feeling that link to the club.”

The Middlesbrough FC Business Club is formed through a partnership between Eleven Sports Media and the Football Club. As a Business Club partner, TS3 Sports see its company branding displayed on pitch and crowd-facing LED boards, also appearing on StatTV and StadiumTV screens located within the concourses. In addition, TS3 Sports feature on StatTracker social media content that is shared to the official Middlesbrough FC feeds, creating a multidimensional approach that allows the business to engage with supporters outside of matchday branding.

Showcasing the business’ association with Middlesbrough across social media, as well as in-store, the Business Club has had a positive impact on the business. Enjoying another link with the club through supplying the kits for Middlesbrough’s soccer schools, Redman explained how the business has benefitted since joining the Business Club:

“It’s hard to track exactly where our business directly comes from, but there are normally 28,000 fans at The Riverside. We also put branding for workwear in different parts of the ground as well, hoping that people from different companies would see that. The association with the Football Club has been good for the business. We’re Boro fans and it gives us a real sense of pride when we see the company’s branding around the stadium, it means a lot to the business to have that association.”
