Our London Stadium Associate Partners ISWUK have signed The Mental Health at Work Commitment and will use all resources and advice available  to implement positive change and support their people, as they know their people are the most important part of their business.

Founded in 2016 and formerly known as Interstellar Steelworks Limited, the ISWUK LTD team comprises over 35 years of combined industry experience.

They are specialists in both interior and exterior design, supply, and installation of high-quality glass and stainless-steel design solutions.

ISW covers various applications including balustrades, staircases, viewing platforms, balconies, ramps, entrance canopies, railings, Juliette balconies and much more.

The Mental Health at Work Commitment is a simple framework that builds on what they know: based on the Thriving at work standards, pulling from the pledges and standards that are already out there, using up-to-date research, from UK employers and mental health experts.

They believe the Mental Health at Work Commitment, and the standards which underpin it, are a roadmap to achieving better mental health outcomes for those in work. It’s a set of actions that any organisation can follow to improve and support the mental health of their people.

Men in the UK are 3x more likely to die by suicide than women. Those men working within the construction industry – still a very male-dominated industry – are 3x again more likely to die by suicide than the national average.

They know their people are the most important part of their business. ISWUK have signed the commitment and will use all resources and advice available to implement positive change and support their people.

This is just one action that Opal Pooley, General Manager at ISWUK is proactively implementing to ensure the company is doing the right thing to support and promote the positive health and well-being of employees and subcontractors within the workplace and on site.

Opal has also completed two courses recently in Leadership & Management ILM / Lean & Mental Health First Aid and Mental Health Advocacy in the Workplace.
