The JR Group, Scotland’s leading scaffold and construction business, has revealed it has contributed more than £75,000 to various charities and local community groups across the country, as part of the company’s community benefits programme in the last year.

The Paisley-based building firm handed over the vital funding, in addition to a variety of gifts and donations to local groups and organisations within the areas in which they have ongoing projects.

These gifts include items such as buddy benches, construction and painting materials for a variety of community groups and institutions including schools, a local children’s club and a community hall for the elderly in Shettleston. They have also donated food to those most in need.

The team have also donated time to various charities and community projects across the year, including volunteering time to the create a memorial garden for a school in Ayr, providing hoodies to a Shettleston children’s group and delivering clothes and essential items to citizens fleeing the conflict in Ukraine who were residing on a cruise ship in Govan.

As part of the totals, the team also raised £15,000 by taking part in the annual Kiltwalk event, which the construction firm are planning to take part in again in 2023.
