Drainage company connects with local community through football sponsorship

Drain Detectives have discovered the power of football sponsorship through its partnership with Crystal Palace Business Club. They enjoy Premier League-level brand exposure, with their logo featuring throughout every Palace home game at Selhurst Park. With engineers across the South East including South London, Crystal Palace Business Club allows Drain Detectives to successfully connect with its local community through the power of sport.

With many years of experience within the drainage industry, Dean Austin, the company owner, established Drain Detectives in 2017. They offer a complete range of services, from drain unblocking, repairs and cctv surveys, for both domestic and large commercial clients.

We started with just three vans and now we have up to 20 vans with highly experienced engineers, ready to respond to any drain emergency, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Dean explained how they have been able to set themselves apart from their competitors.

“We differ from a lot of companies because we genuinely answer the phone 24/7. We always have engineers on-call. We get a lot of jobs because clients haven’t been able to get an answer elsewhere, but we’ve been able to take the call and can offer a fast response.”

“We can genuinely carry out any drainage work, from unblocking a domestic toilet to cctv drain surveys, drain lining and large drain excavations”, Dean continued.

“Our name also helps us stand out from similar companies. A lot of our work comes through carrying out cctv drain surveys for pre-purchase or build over. Throughout most of our work, we use camera equipment to spot problems – so our name kind of fits with that we do!”

The Crystal Palace Business Clubs stems from a partnership between Eleven Sports Media and the Football Club. The partnership sees Drain Detectives feature on crowd-facing LED screens at Selhurst Park, as well as being displayed on StadiumTV and StatTV screens within the concourse, engaging with supporters throughout each game.

Drain Detectives are also invited to exclusive partner events and enjoy a selection of hospitality tickets through the season, allowing opportunities for the business to network with clients and other local companies.

Utilising the prestige of being associated with a Premier League club, Dean Austin outlined what Drain Detectives aims to achieve through its Business Club partnership:

“Currently, a lot of our customers are finding us when they’re searching for a drain company. What we want to do through our partnership with Crystal Palace is to help build a big enough profile that people begin to specifically search for Drain Detectives.”
