Security company builds on relationship with London Stadium

JAR Site Solutions has secured a valuable partnership with the London Stadium Business Club, giving the security company prime brand exposure throughout all West Ham home games. The family-run business can connect with up to 60,000 fans during every match at the former Olympic Stadium.

Formed by Jon and Alisha Riches in 2017, JAR Site Solutions specialises in providing security staff to a range of clients from large stadiums and arenas to schools and colleges. As the company has continued to expand, the security company has also moved into education through supplying NVQs in Spectator Safety at local colleges.

“We provide manned guarding, event security and crowd management at various locations, including the London Stadium. We already have a connection with the Stadium because we work on all the matches, concerts and everything else that goes on there,” Jon Riches explained.

“Working with colleges in the Stratford area, we’ve recently started offering traineeships to local people where they can not only gain their English and Maths qualifications, but also complete an NVQ in Spectator Safety, so that they can work at the London Stadium and other high profile venues.

“The training side of the company is growing now and that’s running in tandem with the main business, which is great because it ensures that everyone that comes in and works for us are as qualified as they can get. In general, we may have anything from 50 staff working on a day to 200 depending on the size of the events we’re working. We always try and recruit locally for any event, as we believe in working with and helping to develop local communities.”

The London Stadium Business Club is formed through a partnership between Eleven Sports Media and the venue.

As a Business Club partner, JAR Site Solutions see its company branding featured on a large LED screen at the front of the former Olympic Stadium, as well as appearing on pitch-facing mid-tier boards.

“Because we already work at the London Stadium, it’s nice to be able to establish our brand and get our name out there while the games are happening,” Jon Riches continued.

“We can be talking to someone at the stadium about our business and suddenly, our name is being shown around the ground. It’s amazing. We’re already involved with football sponsorship at Crystal Palace, which has helped us reach out to clients before, but already having a working relationship at the London Stadium helps us develop that even further.”

In addition to matchday brand exposure, JAR Site Solutions are also invited to exclusive partner events, that have included Q&A evenings with club legends Neil ‘Razor’ Ruddock and Sir Trevor Brooking, networking with like-minded local businesses.

Jon Riches explained how being associated with the London Stadium and West Ham United has benefitted JAR Site Solutions:

“It gives us an added level of prestige, being involved with the London Stadium; we can say that we are associated with worldwide brands. Being able to put the Business Club logo on emails and marketing material gives us that extra layer of respectability, our clients understand what it means to be associated with Premier league clubs.

“We were spotted on BT Sport for the opening game of the season against Manchester City, which was brilliant. It gives us a sense of pride every time we see our brand linked with the London Stadium and we share it across all our social media channels. It’s not only nice for us but also for everyone that’s helped us grow as a business to show how far we’ve come and how quickly we’re growing.”
